This is a four-module curriculum sponsored by the U.S. Department of Labor and designed to educate non-medical personnel about coal mine dust lung disease.
- The first module addresses the spectrum of coal mine dust lung disease.
- The second module reviews the occupational history and exam, and resting lung function testing.
- The third module reviews exercise lung function and chest imaging.
- The fourth module puts it all together discussing evaluation and causes of impairment and disability.

After completion of the four modules, one AMA category 1 Continuing Medical Education (CME) credit will be awarded for each of the four modules, for a total of 4 CME credits.
